African Cooking

Assefa Kebede, former chef and owner of Vancouver BC's award-winning Nyala African Restaurant, is a native of Ethiopia, but has traveled all over Africa collecting recipes wherever he's gone. In this class, he shares two of his favorites--baboutie, the national dish of South Africa, which he will prepare in both meat and vegetarian versions, and, from Senegal, mafe chicken with peanut sauce.
