Part imagination and part research—docupoetry provides a way to investigate complex personal and political questions. This session will examine the inventive poetry of Layli Long Soldier, Craig Santos Perez and Claudia Rankine and discuss how the form may benefit writers of other genres. We will practice some of these poetic techniques in our own poems.
