Join local artists Trish Harding and Deb McCunn on a trip north to the world-renowned Museum of Anthropology (MOA) at the University of British Columbia. A public, research, and teaching museum, MOA houses nearly 50,000 works from almost every part of the world, and is dedicated to promoting awareness of global cultural traditions with an emphasis on the First Nations peoples and other cultural communities of British Columbia. View amazing works from the permanent exhibits, such as Bill Reid's The Raven and First Men, as well as over 110 Indigenous artworks from the exhibit In a Different Light: Reflecting on Northwest Coast Art.
We'll leave WCC at 8:30 AM, allowing time to briefly tour the museum before we embark on a 60-minute private tour with museum docents. Afterward, you'll have time for lunch on your own at the MOA Café, and a chance to view more exhibits and stroll through MOA's stunning grounds. We'll depart for home at 2:30 PM. Course fee includes exhibit admission.Registration deadline is October 15. No refunds or credits issued after deadline. Proper border identification (passport, NEXUS card or WA enhanced drivers license) must be shown before boarding bus. Ages 10 and up are welcome to register with an adult.
