Pacific Northwest Plant Life (outdoor classroom)

Learn about the flowers, shrubs, and other native plants that make the Pacific Northwest the green and beautiful place it is. We'll get acquainted with some basic botany skills in the field, then go for a walk to discover and identify a sampling of the wealth of plant species found right here in Whatcom County. Be prepared to spend the entire class outside, rain or shine, as we get to know common plants you'll likely see on any hike in the woods around Bellingham. You'll be amazed by the diversity of plant life in our neighborhood! Class will meet at 9:00am in Whatcom Falls Park (Silver Beach Road entrance). Ages 13 and up registered with a guardian are welcome to attend.
