Claudia Barbo

Claudia's mom taught her to knit and crochet when she was in her teens. These crafts have become a life-long source of relaxation and enjoyment. She taught classes at the Wool Station, Marilyn's Yarns, and, most recently, Apple Yarns. After retiring Claudia found that she was, maybe, not quite ready to totally retire. She enjoys sharing her love and knowledge of both crafts.

Working and teaching in yarn shops is Claudia's second career. Her first includes a BA in Music Education, a MA in Learning Resources Administration, working as an Administrator for the Learning Lab at Boeing Everett Plant, substitute teaching, the Library Media Specialist for Lummi Tribal School, and Learning Center Administrator for the Educational Services District. When Washington State found that they had a severe shortfall Claudia's position was eliminated. That's when she turned to her hobbies of knitting and crochet.

In addition to knitting and crocheting, Claudia likes to do multiple other crafts, including sewing. She also loves to read and has way too many books.
