Exploring Whatcom County Tide Pools

Join instructor Chris Byrd for an exploration of local tide pools as you learn about intertidal intertebrates, fish identification, ecology, and seaweeds. He'll also cover tide pooling ethics. Kids 10 and up are welcome to register with a guardian. Bring a sack lunch or snack, water bottle, and appropriate sun protection. Class meets at Wildcat Cove in Larrabee State Park; parking requires an annual or one-day Discover Pass--carpooling encouraged. Then take a left on Cove Road at the "Boat Launching" sign, and follow the left fork following the boat launch signs to the parking lot.
