Someday you may find yourself needing care or caring for a loved one. Debbie Gann, director of Home Attendant Care, brings her 30+ years' experience to explain the support options available and discuss transportation, nutritional, and medical services; in-home care; and the costs and role of Medicare, Medicaid, and other funding options. The first session will cover how to develop a team of support services to allow individuals to remain in their homes; the second session will explore alternative living situations. We'll also discuss how to make a smooth transition for everyone involved and documents you should have in place to ensure your wishes are honored.

Debbie Gann
Debbie Gann, CSA has been working in healthcare since 1987 and has become a recognized advocate for the rights of seniors in our community. She is the owner of Home Attendant Care, a licensed Home Care Agency and has experienced first hand the impact of dementia on families. Her mother Grace suffered from Alzheimers Disease which caused her death in 2017. Debbie continually strives to educate seniors and their families about health care issues, community resources available and the importance of planning ahead for aging thru her classes at WCC and Skagit Valley Hospital. Debbie is a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), Certified Dementia trainer, past president of Elder Service Providers and the Alzheimer Society of WA as well as founding member of the WA Private Duty Assoc. and Excellence Northwest. After her mother, Grace, passed away she was determined to improve end of life care in facilities especially for those with dementia or cognitive impairment. She went on to become the founder of a “Touch of Grace”, a training program full of tools and resources for nurses and other staff members at Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living facilities. Debbie loves spending time playing and exploring life with her 4 year old Granddaughter Harley.
