Discover the joy of birdwatching with local expert Ken Salzman! We'll cover birding basics and identification, including choosing and using birding equipment and how to identify birds in the field. The final session on Saturday, March 14 (8:30 AM - 12:30 PM) will be a trip to Semiahmoo spit--an internationally recognized birding area with an abundance of sea birds. If you have binoculars or a field guide, bring them to class. For more information on partial scholarships available through the North Cascades Audubon Society as reimbursements, email nhuson@northcascadesaudubon.org. Course offered winter quarter only.
