Awareness and a fraud prevention plan are powerful tools in dealing with the growing epidemic of scams and identity theft. A stolen identity enables a thief to get credit cards, loans, healthcare, buy a house and more in your name. You will learn how fraudsters obtain your information and ways to thwart thieves. You will receive a detailed list of preventative actions to implement to help protect your valuable name and financial assets. This class will help empower you to become more aware, alert and proactive. Maya Sullivan's new book EMPOWERED: How to Prevent Identity Theft and Scams, is forthcoming in spring of 2022.
Participants registered for in-person CCE classes must attest their COVID-19 vaccination status with our attestation form prior to taking classes. In-person classes will adhere to required safety protocols and are subject to change based on current recommendations from local and state health officials. Safety instructions will be emailed to participants prior to class.
