Holiday Pie Baking (virtual classroom)

Sometimes flaky, sometimes like cardboard--what happened?! Is making a good pie crust just luck of the draw? No! Learn the science and technique behind creating fool-proof pie crusts and leave class armed with knowledge, recipes, a delicious Thanksgiving pie, and one to store in the freezer to enjoy later. We will make and bake a salted caramel apple pie complete with a beautiful lattice top. Our "freeze and enjoy later" pie will be a chocolate cream pie sure to satisfy the chocolate lovers around your holiday table. Plus, get recipes for pumpkin pie and Chef Michele's personal favorite dessert, cheesecake. You will receive a class prep packet, recipes, and a video recording of the class. The class price is for two people attending from one kitchen; only one person is required to register and pay for the class.

We email virtual classroom access two business days before classes begin; please register early to ensure you receive this information. It is the responsibility of participants to check their email inbox for virtual access information prior to class and, if it has not been received, to contact our office during business hours (8 a.m. - 5 p.m.) before class starts at comed@whatcom.edu or (360) 383-3200. No refunds or credits will be given for a class once it has started.
