Don't long for summer produce in the fall--learn to preserve the summer bounty with acidified canning now! In this class we will can beets and carrots. You'll learn how to make pickle brine that features your favorite spices. Acidified canning is a great way to preserve your favorite produce because you can infuse whichever flavors you prefer into the brine. Katrina Fox is the founder of Apples to Applesauce, a nonprofit dedicated to ending child hunger. Katrina is certified in the microbiology and sanitation of better food process through University of California.
