Learn how to marry metal and gemstones together with several torch-less techniques. This torch-less practice involves several types of rivets including standard, flush, and tube rivets. Explore a variety of texture and finishing techniques, and leave class with a sampling of rivets and a finished pendant that utilizes cold connections and a cabochon gemstone. This class is perfect for starting your own torch-less home studio practice. Bring a pencil and notebook/sketchbook, wear closed-toe shoes, and keep long hair tied back; you are also welcome to bring a small round or oval cabochon gemstone to set into your ring. $30 material fee payable to instructor at class. Materials fee includes a cabochon gemstone, brass and/or copper. However, students are welcome to bring in their own cabochon gemstone and have the option of purchasing sterling silver from the instructor to utilize in their pendant. If purchasing sterling silver or an additional stone from the instructor, the materials will be priced at wholesale cost from the instructor’s personal inventory.
