As the poet W.S. Merwin writes, "I want to tell what the forests/were like/I will have to speak/in a forgotten language." Poets have found inspiration and solace in nature through the ages, and our time is no different. How can we describe, celebrate, and appreciate the natural world in our own writing? We'll look at what other poets have written and write our own nature poems as we work toward discovering this forgotten language. Barbara Bloom is the author of two books of poetry with a third book in the works.
