In Poland, borscht is a multi-faceted tradition shaped by seasonal ingredients and the holidays that surround them. Join Magdalena Theisen, owner of Magdalena's Bistro and Creperie, for a hands-on class that explores two different versions of this soup: rich, full-bodied Ukrainian borscht, and elegant clear borscht served with a crispy fried croquette. Additionally, build a vibrant beet salad to round out the meal. Magdalena brings her Eastern European heritage and life stories to every class. Hands-on.
Notes:
Hands-on. All cooking classes provide tastings of dishes prepared in class.
Parking is available behind the Connections classroom. When pulling in from E. Holly St., drive down the alley between the classroom and the Shell gas station; you will see the parking lot on the left. If it is full, you can park at Hammerhead Coffee after 3 p.m.
