What comes to mind when you think of "research"? The library? An internet database, perhaps? But what about crabs? In this course, we will place "research" under our writerly microscope and explore its role in creative writing, different strategies, and how crabs might be at the root of it all. Grace Schutte, a Pushcart Nominee, is an Alaskan writer and instructor with a passion for crabs, specifically those of the research variety. She received her MFA from WWU in 2025.
