In this class designed for all skill levels, learn to create a series of silver stackable rings! You'll discover how to turn wire, sheet metal, and loose stones into as many as six coordinating rings to wear together or alone. We'll explore basic skills that are essential to metalsmithing--sawing, soldering, texturing and finishing metal, as well as sizing rings and bezel-setting cabochon stones. Leave class with your hands covered in rings that you made yourself, and a solid foundation of metalsmithing skills! Wear closed-toe shoes, tie long hair back, and bring a pencil and sketchbook/notebook. Materials fee of $25 is payable to instructor in class.
