Wildlife Tracking Basics

Join us for an introduction to the skill of wildlife track and sign interpretation in the field with instructor Chris Byrd as your guide. You will gain core skills such as identifying tracks, making basic interpretations of gait and animal behavior, and estimating the approximate time frame in which the event occurred. This one-day class combines aspects of ecology, wildlife biology, and botany in a synthesis with tracking field skills. Ages 13 up are welcome to register with a guardian. Class will meet in the parking lot of the Tennant Lake Interpretive Center. Bring a water bottle and sack lunch.
