So you want to write for the screen? The world needs more visual storytellers with a fresh point of view! Learn the fundamentals, starting with concept and how to hone your idea into a compelling "logline." From there, we'll discuss character, conflict, plot, dramatic structure, and the nitty-gritty of formatting. Alison Gallant spent two decades working as story analyst for Miramax, Dreamworks and Sony. She had screenplays optioned by producers Adam Merims (Straight Outta Compton, Little Women) and Daniel Sackheim (True Detective). She also wrote for an FX sitcom, Son of the Beach. Class size limited--registered early!

Alison Gallant
Alison worked in the film industry in LA for two decades, first as a story analyst for major studios, including Dreamworks and Sony, then as a writer. She's written more than a dozen screenplays, two of which were optioned by producer Adam Merims (Straight Outta Compton, Little Women) and another by producer Daniel Sackheim (True Detective).
