This class focuses on the emotional, psychological, and spiritual aspects of memoir writing. Intended to be a very practical, hands-on guide to the process of memoir writing, students will have the opportunity to engage creative and nature-based ways to handle the inevitable inner landscape difficulties that arise as we delve into writing our stories. Dr. Jennifer J. Wilhoit is a Spiritual Ecologist, published author, and founder of TEALarbor stories.

Jennifer Wilhoit

Jennifer is passionate about the natural world, well-being, writing & other creative expressions. She loves guiding her students to express themselves through these multidisciplinary pursuits as well! She earned her Ph.D. in Environmental Studies, preceded by an M.A. in Adult Education. Jennifer is a longtime member of the Society for Human Ecology, the Wilderness Guides Council, and other scholarly organizations. Her current professional work is grounded in Spiritual Ecology, interfaith climate justice initiatives, as well as a variety of creative modalities.

Jennifer is an avid hiker, loves the natural world, and spends her leisure time photographing, writing about, and painting the landscapes through which she roams. Jennifer also loves to travel and read.
